Abstract
A lighting device (1000; 1; 2) having at least one semiconductor light source (1040) and at least one electrical resistance element (1020) which comprises at least one coiled filament (1021), the at least one resistance element (1020) being connected in series with the at least one semiconductor light source (1040).

- at least one semiconductor light source (1040;

- at least one electrical resistance element (1020;
- 105) comprising an incandescent filament (1021;
- 105) operable, when energized, to emit electromagnetic radiation;
- and
- a common carrier (1010) on which the at least one semiconductor light source (1040) and the at least one resistance element (1020) are disposed;
- wherein the at least one resistance element (1020) is connected in a series circuit with the at least one semiconductor light source (1040;
- 104);
- and
- wherein a portion of the common carrier (1010) defines a screen (1012;
- 106) disposed between the at least one resistance element (1020;
- 105) and the at least one semiconductor light source (1040;
- 104) so as to shield the at least one semiconductor light source (1040;
- 104) from the electromagnetic radiation emitted by the incandescent filament (1021;
- 105).
