Abstract
This invention is a new and novel embodiment of inflation valve for an inflatable boat or article, which also incorporates a separate and internal pressure release valve to allow the release of air when needed due to the rise of internal pressure inside said boat caused by temperature changes during the day, or any other over-pressure situation which could cause a rupture of the seams or outer shell.
Claims20
A valve for placement in the open interior of an outer valve body sealed to an exterior surface of an inflatable device such that said open interior provides a channel for air ingress and egress mediated by said valve to an inflatable void within the inflatable device, said valve comprising:
- a valve body which can be actuated to allow air ingress and egress through said channel;
- and
- a relief valve body disposed within said valve body, which relief valve body is automatically activated by a selected excess air pressure within said inflatable void so as to allow air egress through said channel.
