Wheel bonus system for games

A system for activating a bonus providing element distinct from play of an underlying game for indicating at least one award to at least one qualifying player of said underlying game, comprising:

• a controller;
• at least one input device configured to provide an output to said controller regarding said underlying game;
• a memory;
• at least one display device;
• machine-readable code stored in said memory and executable by said controller to implement at least one random number generator;
• and
• machine-readable code stored in said memory and executable by said controller to cause said controller to:
• select a triggering event associated with said underlying game, said triggering event selected from a set of triggering events utilizing at least one random number generated by said at least one random number generator;
• utilize said output from said at least one input device to determine if said triggering event has occurred and, if so:
• activating said bonus providing element.
