Abstract
Provided is a method for a base station executing a multi-beam-based random access procedure in wireless communication, and a device therefor. The method may include: transmitting information associated with a RACH resource to a terminal; receiving a multi-RACH preamble from the terminal by a multi-beam; and transmitting a random access response to the terminal.
Claims20
A wireless device, comprising:
- a transceiver;
- a receiver;
- and
- a controller which controls the transceiver and receiver to:
- receive configuration information on a physical random access channel (PRACH),
- wherein the configuration information includes information on a PRACH resource;
- and
- perform a random access procedure, based on a beam failure,
- wherein the random access procedure comprises:
- transmitting multiple random access preambles,
- wherein the multiple random access preambles are multiplexed in a given time, based on a frequency division multiplexing (FDM), and
- wherein at least one of the multiple random access preambles relates to at least one beam.

A base station, comprising:
- a transceiver;
- a receiver;
- and
- a controller which controls the transceiver and receiver to:
- transmit configuration information on a physical random access channel (PRACH),
- wherein the configuration information includes information on a PRACH resource;
- and
- receive multiple random access preambles during a random access procedure,
- wherein the random access procedure relates to a beam failure,
- wherein the multiple random access preambles are multiplexed in a given time, based on a frequency division multiplexing (FDM), and
- wherein at least one of the multiple random access preambles relates to at least one beam.
8 more elements
An apparatus for a wireless device, comprising:
- a controller which controls a transceiver and a receiver of the wireless device to:
- receive configuration information on a physical random access channel (PRACH),
- wherein the configuration information includes information on a PRACH resource;
- and
- perform a random access procedure, based on a beam failure,
- wherein the random access procedure comprises:
- transmitting multiple random access preambles,
- wherein the multiple random access preambles are multiplexed in a given time, based on a frequency division multiplexing (FDM), and
- wherein at least one of the multiple random access preambles relates to at least one beam.
