Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a request to use a preferred number of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for communications with one or more base stations. The UE may receive an indication to use a number of TCI states based at least in part on the request. Numerous other aspects are described.
Claims30
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors operatively coupled to the memory, the one or more processors configured to:
- transmit a request to use a preferred number of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for communications with one or more base stations;
- and
- receive an indication to use a number of TCI states based at least in part on the request.
A method of wireless communications performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- transmitting a request to use a preferred number of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for communications with one or more base stations;
- and
- receiving an indication to use a number of TCI states based at least in part on the request.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions for wireless communication, the set of instructions comprising:
- one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a user equipment (UE), cause the UE to:
- transmit a request to use a preferred number of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for communications with one or more base stations;
- and
- receive an indication to use a number of TCI states based at least in part on the request.
An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:
- means for transmitting a request to use a preferred number of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for communications with one or more base stations;
- and
- means for receiving an indication to use a number of TCI states based at least in part on the request.
