Abstract
The present disclosure pertains to a user equipment for a mobile telecommunications system includes circuitry including a receiver and a transmitter and which is configured to communicate with a new radio base station and a LTE base station. The circuitry is further configured to indicate a cos existence indication to the new radio base station or to the LTE base station; and receive a power control instruction for controlling power output of the transmitter.
Claims20
A user equipment for a mobile telecommunications system comprising circuitry including a receiver and a transmitter and being configured to communicate with a new radio base station and a LTE base station, wherein the circuitry is further configured to:
- detect that the receiver or transmitter is going to tune to a predefined combination of a new radio transmission band and a LTE transmission band, wherein the predefined combination is a known intermodulation problematic band combination, before the user equipment experiences a performance degradation in response to tuning onto the known problematic band combination, indicate a coexistence indication to the new radio base station or to the LTE base station;
- and
- receive a power control instruction for controlling power output of the transmitter based on a predefined threshold.
A base station for a mobile telecommunications system comprising circuitry configured to communicate with at least one user equipment, the at least one user equipment being configured to communicate with a new radio base station and a LTE base station, wherein the circuitry is further configured to:
- detect a coexistence indication before the user equipment experiences a performance degradation in response to tuning onto a predefined combination of a new radio transmission band and a LTE transmission band, wherein the predefined combination is a known intermodulation problematic band combination;
- and
- transmit a power control instruction to the at least one user equipment based on the detected coexistence indication.
