Abstract
A cooking appliance including an oven body having an interior compartment and a door panel for accessing the interior compartment, wherein the interior compartment is sized to receive a food product; a removable heated tray positionable within the interior compartment, wherein the heated tray includes a top tray surface and a first heating source positioned below the top tray surface; and a second heating source positioned within the interior compartment.
Claims25
A cooking appliance comprising:
- an oven body comprising an interior compartment defined by a top wall, a bottom wall, first and second side walls extending between the top wall and the bottom wall, a back wall, and a door panel;
- a removable heated tray positionable within the interior compartment, wherein the heated tray comprises a top tray surface and a first heating source positioned below the top tray surface;
- and
- a second heating source positioned within the interior compartment.
A cooking appliance comprising:
- an oven body comprising an interior compartment defined by a top wall, first and second side walls, a back wall, a door panel, and a removable heated tray, wherein the heated tray comprises a top tray surface that defines the bottom of the interior compartment and a first heating source positioned below the top tray surface;
- and
- a second heating source positioned adjacent to the top wall.
A cooking appliance comprising:
- an oven body comprising an interior compartment defined by a top wall, a bottom wall, first and second side walls extending between the top wall and the bottom wall, a back wall, and a door panel;
- and
- a removable rack and tray system positionable within the interior compartment, the rack and tray system comprising:
- a tray comprising a top tray surface and a first heating source spaced below the top tray surface;
- and
- a rack positioned above the top tray surface.
A method of cooking using a cooking appliance comprising at least one lower heating source positioned in an interior compartment of an oven body, the method comprising the steps of:
- inserting a heatable tray into the interior compartment in a location that is above and in close proximity to the at least one lower heating source, wherein the heatable tray comprises a top tray surface;
- activating the at least one lower heating source;
- heating the top tray surface to a desired cooking temperature using the at least one lower heating source, wherein the heatable tray absorbs energy from the at least one lower heating source and converts the absorbed energy into heat to allow for conductive heating via the top tray surface;
- placing at least one food product on the top tray surface;
- and
- cooking the at least one food product using conductive heat from the top tray surface.
