Extruded pet films with photostable dyes for color conversion

A color converter comprising:

• (a) a polyethylene terephthalate matrix material;
• and
• (b) an organic fluorescent dye comprising a compound of formulae (I.a), (I.b), (I.c) or mixtures thereof
• wherein
• EWG1 and EWG2 are independently CN, CH(O), C(O)R13, OC(O)R13, COOR14, CH(COOR14)2, SO2R14, C(O)NR15R16, SO2NR15R16, or C1-C20-fluoroalkyl,
• R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are independently H, F, COOR14, CH(COOR14)2, C1-C20-alkyl, C2-C20-alkenyl, C2-C20-alkynyl, C3-C20-cycloalkyl, C4-C20-cycloalkenyl, C6-C14-aryl, heterocyclyl, or hetaryl, the C1-C20-alkyl, C2-C20-alkenyl, and C2-C20-alkynyl being optionally substituted with one or more R8, the C3-C20-cycloalkyl and C4-C20-cycloalkenyl being optionally substituted with one or more R9, the C6-C14-aryl being optionally substituted with one or more sub R10, and the heterocyclyl and hetaryl being optionally substituted by one or more R10,
• R7a, R7b and R7c are H, F, cyano, C1-C20-alkyl, C2-C20-alkenyl, C2-C20-alkynyl, C3-C20-cycloalkyl, C4-C20-cycloalkenyl, C6-C14-aryl, or hetaryl, the C1-C20-alkyl, C2-C20-alkenyl, and C2-C20-alkynyl being optionally substituted with one or more R8, the C3-C20-cycloalkyl and C4-C20-cycloalkenyl being optionally substituted with one or more R9, and the C6-C14-aryl being optionally substituted with one or more R11,
• R8 is independently F, C3-C20-cycloalkyl, C4-C20-cycloalkenyl, C6-C14-aryl, C6-C14-aryloxy, or hetaryl, the C3-C20-cycloalkyl and C4-C20-cycloalkenyl being optionally substituted with one or more R9, and the C6-C14-aryl and C6-C14-aryloxy being optionally substituted with one or more R10;
• R9 is independently cyano, F, C1-C10-alkyl, C1-C10-fluoroalkyl, C1-C10-alkoxy, C1-C10-fluoroalkoxy or tri-(C1-C10-alkyl)silyl,
• R10 is independently cyano, F, C1-C10-alkyl, C1-C10-fluoroalkyl, C1-C10-alkoxy, C1-C10-fluoroalkoxy, tri-(C1-C10-alkyl)silyl, hetaryl, phenyl, or phenoxy, an aromatic ring of the phenyl or phenoxy being optionally substituted by one or more R12,
• R11 is independently EWG1, F, chlorine, bromine, C1-C10-alkyl, C1-C10-alkoxy, C1-C10-fluoroalkoxy, tri-(C1-C10-alkyl)silyl, N(C1-C20-alkyl)2, N(C6-C14-aryl)2, hetaryl, biphenylyl, terphenylyl, spirofluorenyl, C6-C14-aryl, C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene, C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene-O—, the biphenylyl, terphenylyl, spirofluorenyl, C6-C14-aryl, C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene, and C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene-O— being optionally unsubstituted in the aryl moiety or substituted by one or more R12,
• R12 is independently EWG1, C1-C10-alkyl, C1-C10-alkoxy, C1-C10-fluoroalkoxy, tri-(C1-C10-alkyl)silyl, or C3-C20-cycloalkyl,
• R13 is C1-C10-alkyl, C1-C10-fluoroalkyl, C3-C20-cycloalkyl, C3-C20-cycloalkyl-C1-C10-alkylene, C6-C14-aryl, or C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene, the C6-C14-aryl and aryl moiety of the C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene being optionally substituted by one or more R10,
• R14 is H, C1-C10-fluoroalkyl, C3-C20-cycloalkyl, C3-C20-cycloalkyl-C1-C10-alkylene, C6-C14-aryl, or C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene, the C6-C14-aryl and aryl moiety of the C6-C14-aryl-C1-C10-alkylene being optionally substituted by one or more R10,
• R15 and R16 are independently H, C1-C10-alkyl, or C1-C10-fluoroalkyl.
