Cutter system for an electric shaver and/or trimmer, comprising a pair of cooperating cutting elements, with a first cutting element and a second cutting element, a motor driving said second cutting element in a movement direction, a support structure supporting the pair of cooperating cutting elements, wherein a stacked sandwich arrangement is provided by the second cutting element being sandwiched between the first cutting element and said support structure, said second cutting element is movably received therebetween in said stacked sandwich arrangement, wherein an additional part is provided for defining a specific cutting air gap size in a direction perpendicular to the movement direction between the first cutting element, said support structure and said second cutting element.
