• a sprinkler frame comprising an internal passageway extending between an inlet and an outlet along a sprinkler axis;
• and
• a deflector coupled to the sprinkler frame, the deflector comprising a central region defining a second diameter, an annulus region outward from the central region and angled relative to the central region, and a peripheral region outward from the annulus region, a ratio of a second diameter of the passageway to a first diameter of the deflector ranges from 1:1 to 2:1.

A deflector of a sprinkler, comprising:

• a deflecting surface to be coupled to a mount of the sprinkler, the deflecting surface distributes fluid discharged from an outlet of the sprinkler in a spray pattern below the sprinkler, the deflecting surface comprising an arcuate annulus region defined by a constant radius of curvature that circumscribes a sprinkler axis extending from an inlet of the sprinkler to the outlet at a radius ranging from 0.03 to 0.05 inch from the sprinkler axis.
