An object of the present invention is to provide a gel forming kit capable of regenerating hyaline cartilage, a gel that is formed by using the gel forming kit, and a method for producing a gel using the gel forming kit. The present invention provides a gel forming kit containing a crosslinking agent having at least two chains each of which includes a functional group capable of being covalently bonded to an amino group and includes a hydrophilic linking group, and a recombinant peptide; a gel formed by crosslinking of a recombinant peptide with a crosslinking agent having at least two chains each of which includes a functional group capable of being covalently bonded to an amino group and includes a hydrophilic linking group; and a method for producing the gel.
A gel forming kit comprising:
A method for restoring cartilage, comprising administering a mixture of a crosslinking agent having at least two chains each of which includes a functional group capable of being covalently bonded to an amino group and includes a hydrophilic linking group and a recombinant peptide to a subject in need of restoration of cartilage.
A gel formed by crosslinking a recombinant peptide with a crosslinking agent having at least two chains each of which includes a functional group capable of being covalently bonded to an amino group and includes a hydrophilic linking group.
A method for restoring cartilage, comprising administering a gel formed by crosslinking a recombinant peptide with a crosslinking agent having at least two chains each of which includes a functional group capable of being covalently bonded to an amino group and includes a hydrophilic linking group, to a subject in need of restoration of cartilage.
