Abstract
An intelligent laminate dressing system (1) for monitoring and treating a wound made up an absorbent pad (2), a sensor (16) for detecting wound data and an electronic module (17) communicable with the sensor (16), the sensor (16) and the electronic module (17) being positionally offset with respect to the centre of the absorbent pad (2).

A dressing system for a wound comprising:
- an absorbent pad;
- at least one sensor for detecting wound data, and
- an electronic module communicable with the sensor, wherein the sensor comprises a moisture sensor array radially offset with respect to the centre of the absorbent pad for mapping exudate progress across the dressing.
