## Abstract

In biometric ticketing, physical token-less ticketing system using biometrics, a person may be identified using a digital representation of a biometric. Ticketing information may be ascertained based on the identification. The ticketing information may be provided, actions may be performed using the ticketing information, and so on. In some implementations, a checkpoint device receives biometric data from a person. A digital representation of the biometric data is used to obtain an identifier from an identification system. The digital representation of the biometric data may not be included in the identifier. The identifier is used by to obtain ticketing information from a ticketing system. The person may be allowed or denied entry into a ticketed area based on the ticketing information.

## Claims

### Claim 1

receiving an identifier for a person, wherein the identifier is obtained from an identification system that compares a digital representation of an image of the person against one or more stored images, wherein the identifier does not include the digital representation of the image; and
transmitting the identifier for the person for use to obtain electronic ticket information that is used to determine whether to allow the person to pass a checkpoint.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the digital representation of the image of the person is generated by using a mobile device to capture an image of a surface of the person's body.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the image of the surface of the person's body includes an image of the person's face.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the image of the person is generated by using a mobile device to capture an image of a subsurface portion of the person's body.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

The method of claim 4, wherein the image of the subsurface portion of the person's body includes an image of a retina of the person.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the digital representation of the image of the person is generated by using a mobile device to capture an image of an iris of the person.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the digital representation of the image of the person is generated by using a mobile device to capture an image of a fingerprint of the person.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the checkpoint includes an aircraft boarding checkpoint, and further comprising determining, based on the electronic ticket information obtained using the identifier, whether to allow the person to pass board an aircraft secured by the aircraft boarding checkpoint.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, further comprising allowing the person to pass if the electronic ticket information indicates the person has a flight on the aircraft.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
determining, based on the received identifier, whether the identifier matches one of a plurality of stored identifiers; and
when the identifier does not match any of the plurality of stored identifiers, preventing the person from passing the checkpoint.

### Claim 11 (depends on 8)

The method of claim 8, further comprising:
determining, based on the received identifier, whether the identifier matches one of a plurality of stored identifiers;
when the identifier matches one of the plurality of stored identifiers, determining if the person has a flight on the aircraft; and
when the person does not have a flight on the aircraft, preventing the person from passing the checkpoint.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the received identifier is obtained from the identification system that further verifies an identity document for the person provided by the person to the identification system.

### Claim 13

A method comprising:
receiving an authorization system identifier for a person, wherein the authorization system identifier is based, at least in part, on a digital representation of biometric information of the person;
accessing, based on the authorization system identifier, credential information for the person authorized by an authorization system, wherein the digital representation of the biometric information is inaccessible to the authorization system; and
providing the accessed credential information for the person for making a determination of whether to allow the person to pass through a checkpoint.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The method of claim 13, further comprising:
prior to receiving the determination of whether to allow the person to pass through a checkpoint, receiving an indication that an identity of the person is verified based, at least in part, on the digital representation of biometric information of the person.

### Claim 15 (depends on 13)

The method of claim 13, further comprising:
transmitting a notification to an electronic device upon allowing the person to pass through the checkpoint.

### Claim 16 (depends on 13)

The method of claim 13, wherein the digital representation of biometric information of the person is based on an image of the person generated by using a mobile device to capture an image of a surface of the person's body.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The method of claim 16, wherein the image of the surface of the person's body includes an image of the person's face.

### Claim 18 (depends on 13)

The method of claim 13, wherein the digital representation of biometric information of the person is based on an image of the person generated by using a mobile device to capture an image of a subsurface portion of the person's body.

### Claim 19 (depends on 18)

The method of claim 18, wherein the image of the subsurface portion of the person's body includes an image of a retina of the person.

### Claim 20 (depends on 13)

The method of claim 13, wherein the digital representation of biometric information of the person is based on an image of the person generated by using a mobile device to capture an image of an iris of the person.

### Claim 21

A method of enrolling a person in a user authorization system, the method comprising:
providing biographical information about the person;
providing a digital representation of biometric information of the person;
receiving an authorization system identifier for the person, wherein the authorization system identifier is based, at least in part, on the digital representation of biometric information of the person;
wherein the received authorization system identifier for the person is configured for use to access authorization information for the person obtained from the user authorization system, wherein the digital representation of the biometric information is inaccessible to the authorization system; and
