## Abstract

The disclosure relates to a connector pin, in particular a metal pin, for feedthroughs, in particular glass-metal feedthroughs, with at least one first, elongated portion, as well as at least one adjoining end portion, and the end portion has a rounding with at least radius R. The disclosure is further characterized in that the cone and/or radius R is preferably a cone and/or radius according to a specification and is obtained by means of a material-removing method and/or a non-material-removing method.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A connector pin for feedthroughs, comprising:
at least one first, elongated, cylindrical portion having a diameter D; and
at least one adjoining end portion, wherein the end portion has a fillet and/or a fillet portion with a radius, and the fillet and/or the fillet portion has at least the form of a circular segment with radius R,
wherein the radius R is a radius according to a specification, and is obtained with a material-removing method and/or a non-material-removing method.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the radius R of the fillet and/or of the fillet portion is in the range of 0.4·D to 0.65·D.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the end portion has an end face F, the surface of which is essentially perpendicular to a pin axis A, and at which the fillet portion with the radius R adjoins and forms the transition to an outer circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The connector pin according to claim 3, wherein the end face (F) has a diameter of less than 0.4 mm.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the non-material-removing method comprises reshaping methods.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the material-removing method comprises a method selected from the group consisting of lathing, milling, and grinding.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the connector pin has a pin surface, wherein the pin surface in the cylindrical portion is free of Al2O3 and SiC.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein less than 2% of the total pin surface has contaminants selected from the group consisting of Al2O3, SiC, and combinations thereof.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the pin surface comprises a coating.

### Claim 10 (depends on 9)

The connector pin according to claim 9, wherein the coating is a nickel coating and the layer thickness of the nickel coating is in the range of 2 to 8 μm, and/or the coating is a gold coating and the layer thickness of the gold coating is in the range of 0.5 to 5 μm.

### Claim 11 (depends on 9)

The connector pin according to claim 9, wherein the coating is largely free of defects.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the radius R is from 0.25 mm to 1.0 mm, and/or the diameter D is from 0.5 mm to 2.0 mm.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

A feedthrough comprising at least one connector pin according to claim 1.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The feedthrough according to claim 13, wherein the feedthrough comprises an opening, wherein the connector pin is passed through the opening in a glass or glass-ceramic material.

### Claim 15

A method for the production of a connector pin, for a feedthrough, comprising the steps of:
providing a connector pin blank made of a wire material with at least one end portion; and
introducing a fillet and/or a fillet portion with radius R according to a specification, with a material-removing method and/or a non-material-removing method at the end portion of the wire material, resulting in a rounded end portion of the connector pin.

### Claim 16 (depends on 15)

The method according to claim 15, further comprising the step of providing the connector pin with a coating.

### Claim 17 (depends on 1)

The connector pin according to claim 1, wherein the connector pin is a metal pin.

### Claim 18 (depends on 2)

The connector pin according to claim 2, the radius R of the fillet and/or of the fillet portion is in the range of 0.45·D to 0.55·D.

### Claim 19 (depends on 15)
