Heat map display system and methods for use therewith

A method for execution by a multi-label heat map display system, comprising:

• generating an interactive interface for display on a display device, wherein a first portion of the interactive interface displays image data of a medical scan, wherein a second portion of the interactive interface displays at least one of a set of heat maps in a table, and wherein each of the set of heat maps corresponds to probability matrix data generated for a corresponding one of a set of abnormality classes based on utilizing the medical scan as input to an inference function;
• receiving user input in response to user interaction with the interactive interface, wherein the user input corresponds to a selection from option data presented by a third portion of the interactive interface;
• and
• generating an updated interactive interface for display on the display device, wherein the updated interactive interface includes a change to the display of the at least one of the set of heat maps by the second portion of the interactive interface in response to the user input, and wherein generating the updated interactive interface includes changing an order of the at least one of the set of heat maps displayed in the table from a first order to a second order.

A method for execution by a multi-label heat map display system, comprising:

• generating an interactive interface for display on a display device associated with the multi-label heat map display system, wherein a first portion of the interactive interface displays image data of a medical scan, wherein a second portion of the interactive interface displays at least one of a set of heat maps as an unmasked heat map, wherein each of the set of heat maps corresponds to probability matrix data generated by utilizing the medical scan as input to an inference function, and wherein every pixel of the image data of the medical scan has a corresponding color value in the unmasked heat map determined based on the probability matrix data;
• receiving user input to a client device associated with the multi-label heat map display system, wherein the user input corresponds to a selection by a user from option data presented by a third portion of the interactive interface, wherein the option data includes mask segmentation options;
• and
• generating an updated interactive interface for display on the display device, wherein the updated interactive interface includes a change to the display of the at least one of the set of heat maps by the second portion of the interactive interface in response to the user input, wherein the updated interactive interface is generated by changing the unmasked heat map to a masked heat map in response to the user input corresponding to selection of displaying a masked heat map, wherein the masked heat map corresponds to an output of applying a masking function to the unmasked heat map that results in changing color values of pixels of the unmasked heat map that correspond to pixels of the image data of the medical scan that fall outside a selected anatomical region to a uniform mask color.
