Abstract
A storage system, blades, removable modules, and method of configuring a storage system are described. The storage system has blades with computing resources and storage resources. At least one of the blades has, or has added, one or more removable modules.
Claims20
A storage system, comprising:
- a plurality of blades comprising, in aggregate, compute resources and storage resources;
- and
- at least one of the plurality of blades having one or more removable modules.
A storage system, comprising:
- a plurality of blades coupled as a storage array or a storage cluster;
- and
- each of one or more of the plurality of blades having one or more removable modules.
A method of configuring a storage system, comprising:
- accessing first data in the storage system;
- adding a removable module to each of one or more of a plurality of blades of a storage system;
- and
- accessing the first data or second data in the storage system, with the one or more of the plurality of blades reconfigured by the adding the removable module to each of the one or more of the plurality of blades.
