Abstract
A hardscaping unit includes a first block fixedly attached to a second block. The method of assembling the hardscaping unit includes the steps of forming a first block from a first material, placing a second material into a mold, contacting a surface of the first block with the second material that is in the mold, maintaining contact of the surface of the first block with the second material while transitioning the second material from a first state to a second state, the second state being more solid than the first state, and when in the second state the second material forms a second block that is fixedly attached to the first block.

A method of assembling a hardscaping unit, the method comprising:
- placing a first material into a mold, the mold including a first mold surface and a second mold surface angularly offset from the first mold surface, wherein the first material is in contact with both the first and second mold surfaces;
- contacting a first block surface of a block with the first material while the first material is in the mold;
- contacting a second block surface of the block with the first material while the first material is in the mold;
- after the contacting steps, maintaining contact of the first and second block surfaces with the first material while transitioning the first material from a first state of the first material to a second state of the first material, wherein the second state of the first material is more solid than the first state of the first material, and wherein after transitioning the first material to the second state of the first material the first material is secured to the first and second block surfaces of the block.
A hardscaping unit, comprising:
- a first block including a first front surface and a second front surface angularly offset from the first front surface, the first front surface defining a first notch, and the second front surface defining a second notch;
- and
- a second block including a first contact surface and a second contact surface angularly offset from the first contact surface, the first contact surface defining a first protrusion, and the second contact surface defining a second protrusion, wherein the first protrusion is configured to engage with the first notch, and the second protrusion is configured to engage with the second notch, wherein contact between the first front surface and the first contact surface and contact between the second front surface and the second contact surface fixedly attach the first block to the second block to form a combined block,
- wherein the first block includes a first material, the second block includes a second material, and the combined block defines a portion that includes both the first material and the second material, the portion of the combined block is positioned between the first material and the second material.
