Abstract
Disclosed is a system for monitoring the water level proximate to a vehicle. The system comprises a control unit and at least one sensor in communication with the control unit. The at least one sensor is configured such that the control unit can determine a pitch of a trailer coupled to the vehicle and the height of a surface of water proximate to the trailer. The system includes a display screen displaying a representation of the trailer including the pitch of the trailer, and a representation of the surface of water proximate to the trailer.
Claims20
A system for monitoring a water level proximate to a vehicle, the system comprising:
- a control unit;
- at least one sensor in communication with the control unit, wherein the at least one sensor is configured such that the control unit can determine:
- a pitch of a trailer coupled to the vehicle;
- and
- a height of a surface of water proximate to the trailer;
- and
- a display screen controlled by the control unit to display an image comprising:
- a representation of the trailer including the pitch of the trailer;
- and
- a representation of the surface of water proximate to the trailer.
A method comprising:
- in a control unit, receiving sensor data from at least one sensor;
- based on the sensor data, determining a pitch of a trailer coupled to a vehicle;
- and
- a height of a surface of water proximate to the trailer;
- and
- displaying, on a display screen controlled by the control unit, an image comprising:
- a representation of the trailer including the pitch of the trailer;
- and
- a representation of the surface of water proximate to the trailer.
A system for monitoring water level proximate to a vehicle, the system comprising:
- a control unit;
- at least one sensor in communication with the control unit, wherein the at least one sensor is configured such that the control unit can determine a depth of the vehicle within a body of water;
- and
- a display screen disposed within a dashboard of the vehicle and controlled by the control unit to display an image comprising a representation of the depth of the vehicle in the body of water.
