Abstract
Lifting robot systems and methods for operating the same are disclosed. A lifting robot system includes a sensor device and a robot device. The robot device includes a body, a lifting component movably coupled to the body, and a collection tray coupled to the lifting component. Upon receiving a command to lift an object, the sensor device automatically detects the object, the robot device places the object on the collection tray, and the robot device causes the lifting component to lift the collection tray from a first height to a second height.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- receiving a command to lift an object;
- rotating a collection arm hingedly coupled to a tray body of a collection tray of a robot away from the tray body such that the object is located between a portion of the collection arm and the tray body;
- rotating the collection arm toward the tray body to sweep the object onto the tray body;
- and
- lifting the tray body from a first height to a second height.
A method comprising:
- receiving a command to lift an object;
- moving a mobile unit comprising a plow to the object;
- causing the mobile unit to push the object via the plow onto a lifting pad of a standing unit separate from the mobile unit;
- and
- directing the lifting pad to lift the object from a ground surface to a height.
A method, comprising:
- receiving a signal or data from a user interface device of a lifting robot system, the signal or the data corresponding to a request from a user to retrieve an object;
- receiving sensor data from a sensor device of the lifting robot system, wherein the sensor data corresponds to a sensed environment around the lifting robot system and comprises the object and an indicator indicating the object;
- determining a location of the object;
- directing movement of a robot device of the lifting robot system to the object such that the object is placed on a collection tray of the robot device;
- and
- causing a lifting component of the robot device coupled to the collection tray to raise the collection tray and the object thereon.
