A portable tool, capable of being moved by persons, users and/or operators, includes a motor; a fluid reservoir; a pump connected to the reservoir and the motor; a work cylinder connected to an output of the pump; an actuable tool component connected to the work cylinder; a sensor in the recue tool connected to any one or more than one of the motor, the reservoir, the pump, the work cylinder, and the tool; a controller configured to receive measurement signals from the sensor; and at least one controlled valve in a hydraulic circuit defined by the reservoir, the pump and the work cylinder and connected to the controller.
