- generating a first stimulation according to a first stimulation parameter for transmission through a first lead;
- generating a second stimulation according to a second stimulation parameter for transmission through a second lead;
- wherein the first lead is spaced laterally from the second lead;
- wherein the first stimulation parameter differs from the second stimulation parameter.
1 more element
A method of stimulating a subject, comprising:
- providing a first lead end and a second lead end connected to an implantable stimulation device;
- providing a first stimulation signal from the implantable stimulation device to the first lead end to stimulate a first lateral portion of a tongue;
- and
- providing a second stimulation signal from the implantable stimulation device to the second lead end to stimulate a second lateral portion of the tongue;
- wherein the second lateral portion is contralateral to the first lateral portion.
2 more elements
A system for stimulating a subject, comprising:
- a first lead end;
- a second lead end;
- and
- an implantable stimulation device connected to both the first lead end and the second lead end;
- wherein the implantable stimulation device is configured to deliver:
- a first stimulation signal to the first lead end to stimulate a first lateral portion of a tongue;
- and
- a second stimulation signal from the implantable stimulation device to the second lead end to stimulate a second lateral portion of the tongue;
