Pharmaceutical composition for preventing, alleviating or treating osteoarthritis, containing rhodanine derivative as active ingredient

A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating osteoarthritis, the pharmaceutical composition containing a compound represented by the following Formula 1 or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof:

• wherein R1 is H, C1-5 alkyl, C1-5 alkoxy, —C1-5 alkyl-carboxylic acid, —C1-5 alkyl-C(═O)—1-3 alkyl, —C(═O)—1-5 alkyl, —C1-2 alkyl-SO2—C1-2 alkyl, —C1-2 alkyl-tetrahydrofuran, -phenyl, —C1-2 alkyl-phenyl, -cyclohexyl, -dioxotetrahydrothiophene, -pyrazole, —C1-3 alkyl-furan, or —CH(CO2H)—CH2—CO2H, wherein the phenyl is unsubstituted or substituted with at least one substituent selected from the group consisting of C1-3 alkyl, an amino group substituted with one or more C1-2 alkyl groups, a halogen, —CF3, and —NO2;
• R2 is H, a halogen, C1-3 alkyl, or —NO2, or is linked to R3 to form a ring;
• R3 is either any one of H, a halogen, C1-3 alkyl, C1-3 alkoxy, —C1-5 alkyl-carboxylic acid, —C(═O)—O—R4, —NO2, and morpholine, or —C(═O)—NH—C(═O)—, —CH2—O—C(═O)— or —C═C—C═C—, which is in the ortho position to R2 and is linked to R2 to form a ring;
• R4 is a C1-4 alkyl group;
• and
• C1 is a spa hybrid carbon or a sp2 hybrid carbon.
