## Abstract

Provided are modified sulfur and a production method thereof, the modified sulfur including sulfur and a modifier, wherein the modifier is an unsaturated fatty acid-based modifier.

## Claims

### Claim 1

Modified sulfur comprising sulfur and a modifier,
wherein the modifier is an unsaturated fatty acid-based modifier.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The modified sulfur of claim 1, wherein the modifier is one or two or more selected from the group consisting of erucic acid, palmitoleic acid, elaidic acid, myristoleic acid, linoleic acid, arachidonic acid, gondoic acid, oleic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), α-linolenic acid, γ-linolenic acid (GLA), and vegetable oils.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The modified sulfur of claim 1, wherein the modifier is included in an amount of 10 parts by weight or more and 450 parts by weight or less based on 100 parts by weight of the sulfur.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The modified sulfur of claim 1, wherein the modified sulfur exhibits spinnability or has a network structure or a honeycomb structure.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The modified sulfur of claim 1, wherein the modified sulfur has a viscosity of 4,000 cP or more and 25,000 cP or less at room temperature.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The modified sulfur of claim 1, wherein the modified sulfur is amphiphilic.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The modified sulfur of claim 1, further comprising a second modifier different from the unsaturated fatty acid-based modifier.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The modified sulfur of claim 7, wherein the second modifier is one or two or more selected from the group consisting of a saturated fatty acid-based modifier, an unsaturated fatty acid-based modifier, an alcohol-based modifier, an ester-based modifier, and a dicyclopentadiene-based modifier.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The modified sulfur of claim 1, further comprising one or two or more selected from the group consisting of an initiator, a surfactant, a coupling agent, a catalyst, an additive, a crosslinking agent, and a dispersant.

### Claim 10

A method of producing modified sulfur, comprising:
a first step of mixing sulfur and an unsaturated fatty acid-based modifier;
a second step of introducing the resulting mixture into a reactor and melting the same by heating at 100° C. or more and 130° C. or less;
a third step of raising a temperature of the melted mixture to 130° C. or more and 200° C. or less; and
a fourth step of terminating the reaction when a viscosity of the melted mixture reaches 6,000 cP or more and 25,000 cP or less at 160° C.

### Claim 11 (depends on 10)

The method of claim 10, wherein, in the first step, the unsaturated fatty acid-based modifier is used in an amount of 10 parts by weight or more and 450 parts by weight or less based on 100 parts by weight of the sulfur.

### Claim 12 (depends on 10)

The method of claim 10, wherein the third step is carried out after the mixture of the second step becomes a liquid.

### Claim 13 (depends on 10)

The method of claim 10, wherein, in the third step, the temperature is raised so that a temperature outside the reactor and the temperature of the melted mixture differ by 20° C. or less.

### Claim 14 (depends on 10)

The method of claim 10, further comprising an aging step after the third step and before the fourth step, wherein the aging step is carried out at 40° C. or more.

### Claim 15 (depends on 1)

A concrete composition comprising the modified sulfur according to claim 1 and aggregate.
