Abstract
A 3 in 1 reverse vending machine. A vending machine that is solar powered and accepts bottles and cans made of plastic, aluminum, and glass. The machine includes a conveyor system, barcode reader and cleaning system, this prepares the bottle and cans to be shredded and then granulated into small pieces. The machine houses a delivery system that carries the smaller pieces of processed material to its predetermined receptacle for storage. Each bottle and can has a monetary value once received by the machine that will be issued to the user once all bottles and cans are received and calculated per user per transaction.
Claims6
A 3 in 1 reverse vending machine said machine comprising of:
- a plastic transparent front face cover for housing the machine that allows a visual interpretation of the machine's operation;
- a receptacle receiving hole for receiving the bottles and cans with a plastic protective cover to protect a user from any backlash;
- an occupancy sensor with camera hole for placement of the occupancy sensor and camera. A cash and coin distributor with counting screen for the user to visually keep an account of said user transactions;
- a receptacle feeding cone allows the user to scoop or place more than one bottle or can or a combination of many into a receptacle feeding cone structure to feed the machine bottle and cans in multiples instead of one at a time;
- a solar panel the solar panel is used to convert sunlight into electricity, generating a flow of electricity to power the machine;
- an alarm, the alarm sends out a signal and alerts when said machine is under duress;
- an occupancy sensor detects the motion of the user once in front of the machine which in turns signals the machine to power on, including camera records of the user activity;
- said receptacle intake receives the bottles and cans from the user by hand one at a time or by feeding cone, and the conveyor transports the bottle and cans to processing;
- a Universal Product Code (UPC) scanner to scan barcodes of each bottle and can, as said bottle and can is conveyed to identify the product to the machine for sorting and proper storage;
- a color detector sensor detects the color of plastic and glass bottles for sorting and assigned storage;
- a coin and cash calculating computerized distributor to calculate each transaction and payout the cash or coin earned;
- a shredder to shred the bottles and cans when said bottles and cans are dropped from the conveyor into the shredders mouth;
- one or more rotating shredder blades rotate simultaneously inward within the shredder housing to shred said bottles and cans;
- a granulator to cut the shredded bottle or can material into smaller more manageable pieces for delivery;
- one or more rotating granulator blades rotate within the granulator housing parallel to one or more stationary granulator blades to granulate said shredded bottle or can material;
- a delivery system that catches the granulated material as it falls to deliver the material to its proper receptacle;
- three recycled materials receptacles store the recycled bottle and can material base on its material makeup and color;
- three materials waste screens, screens any large waste from being recycled with the materials cleaning solution;
- three liquid waste sponges to absorb liquid cleaning solutions and filter any waste;
- a circuit control board houses and sends energy to each part of the machine;
- a power Inverter to invert the power collected from the solar panels;
- a voltage regulator to maintain a constant amount of power regulated to the machine;
- a deep cycle battery to store and provide sustained power over a long period of time;
- a cleaning solutions pump, pumps cleaning solution to sprayers placed throughout the machine;
- a cleaning solutions sprayer sprays cleaning solution from the pump onto the bottles and cans throughout a recycling process;
- a power reserve to store access amounts of power and reserve that power;
- a cooler coil is executed in the back of the machine to regulate the temperature of the machine;
