Abstract
Methods of and devices for automatically reducing and/or eliminating false alarms to the call centers are disclosed. The method of reducing a false alarm notification to a call center can comprise receiving a triggered event notification on a mobile device, requesting a user to unlock the mobile device, and requesting the user to confirm a triggered alarm or dismiss the trigger notification using the mobile device using a non-GUI based user interface.
Claims30
A method of reducing a false alarm notification to a call center comprising:
- a) receiving a triggered event notification on a mobile device;
- b) prompting a dismissal request of the triggered event notification on the mobile device;
- and
- c) confirming a dismissal of the triggered event notification without using a displayed control interface on the mobile device as an input of a dismissal command.
A method of reducing a false alarm notification to a call center comprising:
- a) receiving a triggered event notification on a mobile device;
- b) requesting a user to unlock the mobile device;
- and
- c) requesting the user to confirm a triggered alarm or dismiss the triggered event notification using the mobile device using a non-GUI based user interface.
A device for reducing a false alarm notification to a call center comprising:
- a) a mobile device having a smart phone App configured to filter falsely triggered event notification by a user of the mobile device;
- and
- b) a control receiver outside of a display area of a user interface on the mobile device, wherein the control receiver is configured to receive a control command on the mobile device.
A system for reducing a false alarm notification to a call center comprising:
- a) a security system configured to send a triggered event notification to a mobile device, wherein the mobile device is configured to filter out a falsely triggered event notification before the triggered event notification is transmitted to a call center as a verified triggered event notification;
- and
- b) a call center configured to receive the verified triggered event notification from the mobile device.
A method for reducing a false alarm notification to a call center comprising:
- a) transmitting a triggered event notification from a local security system to a mobile device;
- b) requesting a user of the mobile device to determine whether the triggered event notification is a falsely triggered event notification on the mobile device;
- and
- c) sending a verified event notification to a call center for providing assistance.
