A method for filling a container, comprising:

• filling a liquid into a fill chamber via a fill chamber inlet;
• and
• applying an activating force in a pressure valve, thereby activating the pressure valve,
• wherein the container comprises the fill chamber, the fill chamber inlet, a pressure chamber, and the pressure valve,
• wherein:
• the fill chamber, having a first pressure, is formed by a container base, a container wall, and a container upper face.
• the pressure chamber, having a second pressure that is higher than the atmospheric pressure, is formed by the container base and a pressure chamber base;
• and
• the pressure valve is connected to the container base and the pressure chamber base.

A metallic container for storing a liquid under pressure the container comprising a fill chamber for the liquid and a pressure chamber for a propellant gas, wherein:

• the fill chamber is formed between an upwardly curved container base and a container upper face so as to allow in the fill chamber the liquid and a first overpressure in comparison with an exterior;
• the pressure chamber is formed between the container base and a pressure chamber base so as to accommodate in the pressure chamber a second overpressure of a propellant gas;
• there are provided a first opening in the container base and a second opening in the pressure chamber base, which are in axial alignment;
• the first base and the second base are connected via a valve sleeve as a base sleeve in a mechanically reinforcing or stiffening manner, wherein the valve sleeve is sealingly connected to both bases and configured in axially aligned manner for receiving therein a valve insert.
