Abstract
An electronic device comprises a display and a controller. The controller is configured to provide a first frequency refresh rate to the display. The controller is also configured to generate a control signal configured to control emission of a light emitting diode of a display pixel of the display at a second frequency based on whether the first frequency refresh rate of the display is less than a predetermined threshold value.
Claims20
A display pixel comprising:
- a light-emitting diode having a cathode terminal coupled to ground and having an anode terminal;
- a drive transistor coupled in series with the light-emitting diode and having a gate terminal;
- a first transistor having a first terminal coupled to the anode terminal and having a second terminal configured to receive a reference voltage;
- and
- a second transistor having a first terminal coupled to the drive transistor and having a second terminal configured to receive a reset voltage separate from the reference voltage.

An electronic device comprising:
- a display having a plurality of pixels, each of which comprises a light-emitting diode, a drive transistor, and an anode reset transistor;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- provide data signals to the plurality of pixels at a refresh rate;
- and
- activate the anode reset transistor at a rate different than the refresh rate.
3 more elements
A display pixel comprising:
- a light-emitting diode;
- a drive transistor coupled in series with the light-emitting diode;
- a data loading transistor configured to load data into the display pixel during a plurality of data loading operations;
- and
- an anode reset transistor that is activated at least once between two successive data loading operations in the plurality of data loading operations.
