Auction system for augmented reality experiences in a messaging system

A system comprising:

• a processor;
• and
• a memory including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising:
• identifying, using one or more hardware processors, a first augmented reality content generator from a first merchant and a second augmented reality content generator from a second merchant;
• receiving, using the one or more hardware processors, a first bid amount from the first merchant and a second bid amount from the second merchant, wherein the first bid amount and the second bid amount are based at least in part on a global pacing multiplier;
• determining, using the one or more hardware processors, a highest bid amount among the first bid amount and the second bid amount;
• and
• providing, using the one or more hardware processors, the first augmented reality content generator or the second augmented reality content generator to a client device based on the determined highest bid.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions, which when executed by a computing device, cause the computing device to perform operations comprising:

• identifying a first augmented reality content generator from a first merchant and a second augmented reality content generator from a second merchant;
• receiving a first bid amount from the first merchant and a second bid amount from the second merchant, wherein the first bid amount and the second bid amount are based at least in part on a global pacing multiplier;
• determining a highest bid amount among the first bid amount and the second bid amount;
• and
• providing the first augmented reality content generator or the second augmented reality content generator to a client device based on the determined highest bid.
