Abstract
The present technology pertains to visualization of maps used for autonomous vehicle applications. These maps include many layers of dense information. Each layer can be stored in a vector format and small portions, called tiles, of a map can be requested by a users web browser. The web browser can filter for desired layers and render all desired map layers at once to provide visualization of map and layers of interest.
Claims20
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions stored thereon, the instructions are effective to cause at least one processor to:
- receive a request for map tiles required to render a first portion of a map at a first zoom level from a client device;
- determine a first plurality of raw map tiles corresponding to a first plurality of browser renderable map tiles required to render the first portion of the map at the first zoom level;
- after receiving the request for map tiles, create at least one of the first plurality of browser renderable map tiles required to render the first portion of the map from the first plurality of raw map tiles.
A method comprising:
- receiving a request for map tiles required to render a first portion of a map at a first zoom level from a client device;
- determining a first plurality of map tiles corresponding to a first plurality of browser renderable map tiles required to render the first portion of the map at the first zoom level;
- after receiving the request for map tiles, retrieving at least one of the first plurality of browser renderable map tiles required to render the first portion of the map from the first plurality of map tiles.
A system comprising:
- at least one non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions;
- and
- at least one processor effective to execute the instructions to:
- receive a request for map tiles required to render a first portion of a map at a first zoom level from a client device;
- determine a first plurality of raw map tiles corresponding to a first plurality of browser renderable map tiles required to render the first portion of the map at the first zoom level;
- after receiving the request for map tiles, create at least one of the first plurality of browser renderable map tiles required to render the first portion of the map from the first plurality of raw map tiles.
