Abstract
A process for the sigmatropic rearrangement of the compound of formula in which R3 is an NO2 group and R4 is either a hydrogen or an NO2 group, includes heat treating the compound by microwave.

A process for preparing a compound of formula (VIIa):
- in which the pair (R1, R2) is either (H, NO2) or (NO2, NO2),
- which comprises heat-treating by microwave a compound of formula (VIIb):
- in which R3 is an NO2 group and R4 is either a hydrogen or an NO2 group.
A process for preparing a compound of formula (II):
- which comprises the steps of:
- a) subjecting the compound of formula (VI) to nitration:
- to give the compound of formula (V):
- b) heat-treating by microwave the compound of formula (V), to give the compound of formula (IV):
- c) subjecting the compound of formula (IV) to nitration, to give the compound of formula (III):
- d) heat-treating by microwave the compound of formula (III), to give the compound of formula (II).
