A calixarene compound represented by structural formula (1-1) below, the calixarene compound comprising, per molecule, at least one —CH2OH group and at least one carbon-carbon unsaturated bond,

• R4's are a monovalent organic group (d1), which is represented by —X—R where X is a direct bond or a carbonyl group, and R is a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms,
• R5's are a structural moiety (A), which has a —CH2OH group;
• a structural moiety (B), which has a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond;
• or a structural moiety (C), which has both a —CH2OH group and a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond,
• R3's are a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• n is 4, 6, or 8, and
• R4's are identical to or different from one another, R5's are identical to or different from one another, and R3's are identical to or different from one another, per molecule.

A calixarene compound represented by structural formula (1-2) below, the calixarene compound comprising, per molecule, at least one —CH2OH group and at least one carbon-carbon unsaturated bond,

• wherein
• R6's are a structural moiety (A);
• which has a —CH2OH group;
• a structural moiety (B), which has a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond;
• or a structural moiety (C), which has both a —CH2OH group and a carbon-carbon unsaturated bond,
• R7's are an aliphatic hydrocarbon group (d2), which has 1 to 20 carbon atoms,
• R3's are a hydrogen atom or an optionally substituted aliphatic hydrocarbon group,
• n is 4, 6, or 8, and
• R6's are identical to or different from one another, R7's are identical to or different from one another, and R3's are identical to or different from one another, per molecule.
