Abstract
The disclosure refers to a cap assembly for covering a needle shield of an injection device, the cap assembly comprising: a collar, and a cap with a sheath and a bottom, wherein the collar is movable along a longitudinal direction relative to the sheath from an unlocked position not engaging the sheath towards a locked position, force-lockingly engaging the sheath, thereby locking the sheath to the needle shield.
Claims13
A cap assembly for covering a needle shield (3) of an injection device, the cap assembly comprising:
- a collar (1, 11),
- a cap (2, 12) with a sheath (2.1, 12.1) and a bottom (2.2, 12.2),
- wherein the collar (1, 11) is movable along a longitudinal direction relative to the sheath (2.1, 12.1) from an unlocked position (U) not engaging the sheath (2.1, 12.1) towards a locked position (L), and
- wherein in the locked position (L) the sheath (2.1, 12.1) is force-lockingly engaged with the collar (1, 11), thereby locking the sheath (2.1, 12.1) to the needle shield (3).
The cap assembly according to any of the previous claims, wherein the needle shield is formed as a rigid needle shield.
The cap assembly according to any of the previous claims, wherein the needle shield is formed as a flexible needle shield.
