Abstract
A method of treating a subject having cancer is described that includes administering a therapeutically effective amount of a β-(1,3)-(1,4) glucan to the subject. Methods of immunostimulating in a subject by administering an effective amount of a β-(1,3)-(1,4) glucan to the subject are also described.

A method of treating a subject having cancer, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of a modified β-(1,3)-(1,4) glucan having a molecular weight from 100 to 300 kDa. to the subject.
A method of immunostimulation in a subject, comprising administering an effective amount of a modified β-(1,3)-(1,4) glucan having a molecular weight from 100 to 300 kDa to the subject.
