Abstract
Oral care compositions comprising an amino acid and stannous ion source, especially in the absence of zinc ion source, are provided for promoting Gum Health of a user.

A dentifrice composition comprising:
- (a) stannous fluoride;
- (b) stannous chloride;
- and
- (c) arginine,
- wherein the dentifrice composition is substantially free of a zinc ion source and a polyphosphate.
