Abstract
A brace that includes a body and a sensor device disposed in the body, where the sensor device includes a sensor that is configured to measure at least one parameter associated with a position of the housing. The brace also includes a controller communicably coupled to the sensor device. The controller can be configured to receive a plurality of measurements of the at least one parameter taken by the sensor device. The controller can also be configured to evaluate each measurement of the plurality of measurements.
Claims21
A foot abduction brace comprising:
- a body comprising two foot restraints and a crossbar disposed therebetween;
- a sensor device disposed in one of the two foot restraints of the body, wherein the sensor device comprises a sensor that is configured to measure at least one parameter associated with a foot being disposed in the one of the two foot restraints;
- and
- a controller communicably coupled to the sensor device, wherein the controller is configured to:
- receive a plurality of measurements of the at least one parameter taken by the sensor device;
- and
- determine, using the plurality of measurements, an amount of time within a time period that the foot is disposed in the one of the two foot restraints.
(canceled)
A sensor device comprising:
- a sensor that is configured to measure at least one parameter associated with a foot disposed in one of two foot restraints of a foot abduction brace in which the sensor is configured to be disposed;
- and
- a controller communicably coupled to the sensor, wherein the controller is configured to:
- receive a plurality of measurements of the at least one parameter taken by the sensor;
- and
- determine, using the plurality of measurements, an amount of time within a time period that the foot is disposed in the one of the two foot restraints of the foot abduction brace.
A non-transitory computer readable medium (CRM) comprising computer readable program code, which when executed by a computer processor, enables the computer processor to:
- receive a plurality of measurements of at least one parameter taken by a sensor device disposed in one of two foot restraints of a body of a foot abduction brace, wherein the sensor device comprises a sensor that is configured to measure the at least one parameter, wherein the at least one parameter is associated with a foot being disposed in the one of the two foot restraints;
- and
- determine, using the plurality of measurements, an amount of time within a time period that the foot is disposed in the one of the two foot restraints.
