Abstract
In some examples, a transport agnostic source includes a streaming device to stream video on diverse transport topologies including isochronous and non-isochronous transports. In some examples, a transport agnostic sink includes a receiving device to receive streamed video from diverse transport topologies including isochronous and non-isochronous transports.

A storage device or storage disk comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors of a streaming device to at least:
- determine an encoding format to be used to encode video, the encoding format based at least on capabilities of a transport agnostic display sink to which the video is to be conveyed and an extent to which bandwidth of a transport layer can change;
- stream the video in a transport agnostic manner using a protocol able to be hosted on any transport for which a transport-specific adaptation has been defined, and able to use diverse transport topologies including isochronous and non-isochronous transports;
- and
- convey the video in a manner that is agnostic to encoding of the video.
A storage device or storage disk comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed, cause one or more processors of a receiving device to at least:
- receive video in a transport agnostic manner using a protocol able to be hosted on any transport for which a transport-specific adaptation has been defined, and able to convey the video from diverse transport topologies including isochronous and non-isochronous transports;
- and
- receive the video in a manner that is agnostic to encoding of the video, an encoding format of the video based at least on capabilities of a transport agnostic display sink that includes the receiving device and an extent to which bandwidth of a transport layer can change.
At least one storage device or storage disk comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed, cause at least:
- one or more first processors of a streaming device to at least:
- determine an encoding format to be used to encode video, the encoding format determined based at least on capabilities of a transport agnostic display sink to which the video is to be conveyed and an extent to which bandwidth of a transport layer can change;
- stream the video in a transport agnostic manner using a protocol able to be hosted on any transport for which a transport-specific adaptation has been defined, and able to convey the video using diverse transport topologies including isochronous and non-isochronous transports;
- and
- convey the video in a manner that is agnostic to encoding of the video;
- and
- one or more second processors of a receiving device to at least:
- receive the video in the transport agnostic manner using the protocol;
- and
- receive the video in the manner that is agnostic to the encoding of the video.
