## Abstract

A sensor device for measuring a rotational position of an element that is rotatable about an axis of rotation includes a pair of sensing elements. The sensing elements are shifted with respect to each other by at least 120 degrees about the axis of rotation.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A sensor device for measuring a rotational position of an element that is rotatable about an axis of rotation, comprising:
a pair of sensing elements shifted with respect to each other by at least 120 degrees about the axis of rotation.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The sensor device of claim 1, wherein the sensing elements are each an electromagnetic sensing element.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The sensor device of claim 2, wherein the electromagnetic sensing element is an electromagnetic transducer.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The sensor device of claim 3, wherein the transducer has a sender member emitting a magnetic field and a pair of receiving members receiving the magnetic field.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The sensor device of claim 1, further comprising an arcuate carrier with an opening receiving the element perpendicular to the axis of rotation.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The sensor device of claim 5, wherein each of the sensing elements is arranged closer to an end of the arcuate carrier than to a central part of the arcuate carrier.

### Claim 7 (depends on 5)

The sensor device of claim 5, wherein the arcuate carrier extends more than 180 degrees around the axis of rotation.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The sensor device of claim 1, wherein the sensing elements are arranged opposite to each other relative to the axis of rotation.

### Claim 9 (depends on 4)

The sensor device of claim 4, wherein the sender members are connected to each other.

### Claim 10 (depends on 4)

The sensor device of claim 4, wherein one of the receiving members of one of the pair of sensing elements is connected to one of the receiving members of the other of the pair of sensing elements.

### Claim 11 (depends on 4)

The sensor device of claim 4, wherein the transducers are identical and each have a first receiving member and a second receiving member, the first receiving member of one of the transducers is coupled with the second receiving member of the other transducer.

### Claim 12 (depends on 11)

The sensor device of claim 11, wherein the second receiving member of one transducer is coupled with the first receiving member of the other transducer.

### Claim 13 (depends on 4)

The sensor device of claim 4, wherein one of the transducers is configured to emit and receive a first magnetic field.

### Claim 14 (depends on 13)

The sensor device of claim 13, wherein the other of the transducers is configured to emit and receive a second magnetic field, a direction of the first magnetic field at the receiving members of the one transducer is opposite to a direction of the second magnetic field at the receiving members of the other transducer.

### Claim 15 (depends on 4)

The sensor device of claim 4, wherein the sender member and/or at least one of the receiving members lie in a plane.

### Claim 16 (depends on 4)

The sensor device of claim 4, wherein the sender member is a coil.

### Claim 17 (depends on 4)

The sensor device of claim 4, wherein the sender member surrounds the receiving members.
