Abstract
A method is provided for alerting a person near a vehicle when said vehicle performs a movement. The vehicle is equipped with at least two speakers configured to emit sound alarms in opposite directions and each speaker that is oriented in the of the movement emits a first sound alarm, while each other speaker emits no sound or a second sound alarm that is different from the first sound alarm.

A method for alerting a person near a vehicle when said vehicle performs a movement, wherein the vehicle is equipped with at least two speakers configured to emit sound alarms in opposite directions, the method comprising:
- each speaker that is oriented in a direction of the movement emits a first sound alarm, while each other speaker emits no sound or a second sound alarm that is different from the first sound alarm.
A vehicle comprising:
- at least two speakers configured to emit sound alarms in opposite directions;
- and
- an electronic control unit for controlling the speakers and in that the electronic control unit is programmed to identify, when said vehicle performs a movement, which speaker or which speakers are oriented in the direction of the movement and to control the speakers so that each speaker that is oriented in the movement direction emits a first sound alarm, while each other speaker emits no sound or a second sound alarm that is different from the first sound alarm.
