Abstract
Viability of cancer cells (e.g., glioblastoma cells) can be reduced by applying an alternating electric field with a frequency between 100 and 500 kHz to the cancer cells for about 3-10 days and administering a checkpoint inhibitor to the cancer cells.
Claims26
A method of reducing viability of cancer cells comprising:
- applying alternating electric fields to the cancer cells at a frequency between 100 and 500 kHz for 3 to 10 days;
- and administering a checkpoint inhibitor to the cancer cells.
A method of treating glioblastoma comprising:
- applying alternating electric fields to a head of a subject with glioblastoma at a frequency between 100 and 500 kHz for 3 to 10 days;
- and
- administering a checkpoint inhibitor to the subject.
A method of reducing viability of cancer cells comprising:
- applying alternating electric fields to the cancer cells at a frequency between 100 and 500 kHz for a time period sufficient to kill about 1-2% of cancer cells;
- and administering a checkpoint inhibitor to the cancer cell.
