Abstract
A computer can be programmed to determine that an impact to a wheel of a vehicle exceeds an impact severity threshold and transmit a message describing the impact via a vehicle communications network. An electronic controller can be programmed to make an adjustment to monitoring the component based on receiving the message in the electronic controller.

A system, comprising:
- a computer in a vehicle, programmed to:
- determine that an impact to a wheel of a vehicle exceeds an impact severity threshold;
- and
- transmit a message describing the impact via a vehicle communications network;
- and
- an electronic controller for a component in the vehicle programmed to:
- based on receiving the message in the electronic controller, make an adjustment to monitoring the component.
