Abstract
Customization of screening procedures based on identity information is described. In embodiments, individuals and items associated with individuals are routed based on, among other factors, identity, categorization, and threshold, such as security threshold. Wayfinding is also described for use in identity verification and physical screening of individuals and associated items. The systems, devices, techniques and approaches described herein can be used in a variety of screening situations including, but not limited to, mass transit, border security, correctional facilities, department of motor vehicles, sporting events, testing centers, and so on as understood by one of skill in the art.
Claims30
One or more tangible non-transitory computer-readable storage media embodying computer-readable instructions that are executable by a computing system to:
- responsive to receipt of information, determine based on the information which category of a plurality of categories an item is to be associated for a physical screening process to be performed in which respective categories correspond to different thresholds applied in the physical screening process;
- and
- electronically communicate information for the category that corresponds to the item to an electronic device configured to direct the item responsive to receipt of the information to an area that corresponds to the category so the item is screened in the physical screening process to the threshold associated with the category.
One or more tangible non-transitory computer-readable storage media embodying computer-readable instructions that are executable by a computing system to:
- responsive to receipt of information, determine based on the information which category of a plurality of categories an item is to be associated for a physical screening process to be performed in which respective categories correspond to different thresholds applied in the physical screening process;
- responsive to receipt of information corresponding to a time-based priority of the item, determine an area that corresponds to the category and said priority information, to screen the item in the physical screening process to the threshold associated with the category, wherein the physical screening process of said determined area is determined to have an estimated completion time consistent with the priority information;
- and
- electronically communicate information for said determined area to an electronic device configured to direct the item to the area so the item is screened in the physical screening process to the threshold associated with the category within the estimated completion time consistent with the priority information.
One or more tangible non-transitory computer-readable storage media embodying computer-readable instructions that are executable by a computing system to:
- responsive to receipt of information, determine based on the information items scheduled to undergo a physical screening process;
- determine, based on said scheduled items, an estimated scheduled load for the physical screening process corresponding to the scheduled items;
- responsive to receipt of information, determine based on the information an aggregate capacity for the physical screening process;
- and
- responsive to a determination that the scheduled load differs from the aggregate capacity, generate an alternative configuration of physical resources implemented in the physical screening process.
