A pharmaceutically acceptable acid salt of [3-(4-{2-butyl-1-[4-(4-chlorophenoxy)phenyl]-1H-imidazol-4-yl}phenoxy)-propyl]-diethylamine, wherein the pharmaceutically acceptable acid is selected from the group consisting of:

• 4-aminosalicylic acid, fumaric acid, galactaric acid, gentisic acid, hippuric acid, hydrobromic acid, hydrochloric acid, maleic acid, L-malic acid, methane sulfonic acid, oxalic acid, phosphoric acid, saccharin, L-tartaric acid, and vanillic acid.
