Abstract
The present invention relates to a novel cannabinoid oral pharmaceutical dosage form, or pharmaceutical composition, comprising a pharmaceutical formulation based on a Type IV or Type IV-like formulation, as classified using the Lipid Formulation Classification System. The oral pharmaceutical composition comprises a pharmaceutical formulation and at least one modified-release agent. By Type IV-like, it is meant that the pharmaceutical formulation comprises no oil, for example no triglycerides or mixed glycerides.

An oral pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- a pharmaceutical formulation;
- and
- at least one modified-release agent;
- wherein the pharmaceutical formulation comprises:
- at least one cannabinoid;
- at least one poloxamer;
- and
- a solvent, wherein the solvent is defined according to formula (I)
- wherein R1 and R2 are independently selected from hydrogen, C(O)CH3, OH, C(O)CH3, CH2OH and C(O)OCH2CH3;
- R3 is independently selected from CH3, CH2OH, OH, CH2OC(O)CH3 and CH2C(O)CH2CH3;
- and R4 is independently selected from hydrogen and C(O)OCH2CH3.
