Abstract
A powder-containing composition contains an aqueous solvent, a cationic polymer that is present in the aqueous solvent and a powder that bears a negative charge on a surface in the aqueous solvent and has a BET specific surface area of 50 m2/g or greater. The cationic polymer comprises, relative to the molecular weight of the cationic polymer, 15% to 85% of a first component, which is an amine-containing (meth)acrylic-based component, and 15% to 85% of a second component, which is a vinyl-based component comprising a heterocycle or amide. A ratio of the mass in the composition of the cationic polymer to a total surface area in the composition of the powder is 0.1 μg/m2 to 2500 μg/m2.

(canceled)
A powder, for an aqueous solvent comprising:
- a particle bearing a negative charge on a surface in the aqueous solvent and having a BET specific surface area of 50 m2/g or greater;
- and
- a cationic polymer adhered to the surface of said particle;
- wherein a ratio of a mass of said cationic polymer to a total surface area of said particle is 0.1 μg/m2 to 2500 μ g/m2.
A method, for manufacturing a powder for an aqueous solvent comprising the steps of:
- mixing, in the aqueous solvent, a powder that bears a negative charge on a surface in an aqueous solvent and has a BET specific surface area of 50 m2/g or greater, and 0.1 μg/m2 to 2500 μg/m2 of a cationic polymer relative to a total surface area of said powder;
- and
- isolating the mixture prepared in the mixing step from said aqueous solvent.
