Abstract
One embodiment provides a method, including: identifying, on an information handling device, an active application; adjusting, using a processor and without additional user input, a disturbance setting based on the active application; and reacting to incoming notifications based on the adjusted disturbance setting. Other aspects are described and claimed.

A method, comprising:
- identifying, on an information handling device, an active application;
- identifying a time period a user has actively interacted with the active application;
- adjusting, using a processor and without additional user input, a disturbance setting based on the time period and the active application, wherein the adjusting comprises increasing an absoluteness of the disturbance setting as the time period increases;
- and
- reacting to incoming notifications based on the adjusted disturbance setting.
