Abstract
A dispensable grease sealant includes a base component in an amount of 50 wt % or more, based on a total weight of the sealant, and a thickener. The base component is selected from a group including a silicone wax, a liquid rubber, and a combination thereof.

A dispensable grease sealant, comprising:
- a base component in an amount of 50 wt % or more, based on a total weight of the sealant, the base component is selected from a group including a silicone wax, a liquid rubber, and a combination thereof;
- and
- a thickener.
A dispensable grease sealant, comprising:
- a base component selected from a group including a silicone wax, a liquid rubber, and a combination thereof;
- a thickener;
- and
- a plurality of compressible rubber particles.
A method for producing a dispensable grease sealant, comprising:
- mixing a base component in an amount of 50 wt % or more, based on a total weight of the sealant, and a thickener, the base component is selected from a group including a silicone wax, a liquid rubber, and a combination thereof.
A crimp connector, comprising:
- a dispensable grease sealant including a base component in an amount of 50 wt % or more, based on a total weight of the sealant, and a thickener, the base component is selected from a group including a silicone wax, a liquid rubber, and a combination thereof;
- and
- a cavity filled with the dispensable grease sealant.
A method for producing a crimp connection, comprising:
- providing a dispensable grease sealant including a base component in an amount of 50 wt % or more, based on a total weight of the sealant, and a thickener, the base component is selected from a group including a silicone wax, a liquid rubber, and a combination thereof;
- dispensing the dispensable grease sealant in a cavity of a crimp connector at a dispensing temperature of 50° C. to 200° C.;
- inserting a wire into the cavity;
- and
- pressing the crimp connector with the wire inserted to generate a mechanically stable connection.
A method for sealing an end of a wire or cable joined to a crimp connector, comprising:
- using a dispensable grease sealant including a base component in an amount of 50 wt % or more, based on a total weight of the sealant, and a thickener, the base component is selected from a group including a silicone wax, a liquid rubber, and a combination thereof.
