## Abstract

Embodiments disclosed herein describe systems and methods associated with light mounting systems. Embodiments may include lighting shelves that are configured to be mounted to a fixed structure, such as to a wall or supports within a room via a cantilever design that is mounted to strut channels. The lighting shelves may be anchored at only a single end to the strut channels, and the lighting shelves may protrude away from the strut channels. The lighting shelves may have a sufficient width and length to cover an entire region of interest below the lighting shelves, which may enable to lighting shelves to uniformly distribute light to plants.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A lighting system comprising:
a plurality of lighting shelves (110) in vertically spaced relation, each lighting shelf comprising a first end coupled with at least one support frame;
a light housing including a plurality of light sources (116) positioned within each lighting shelf, the light housing extending along the lighting shelf; and
each said lighting shelf comprising a second end distal from the respective first end; and
wherein a plurality of cart shelf-receiving openings are defined between respective pairs of adjacent, vertically-spaced second ends; and
wherein a cart (510) having a plurality of cart shelves (520) is positionable in facing relation to the at least one support frame such that the cart shelves are laterally insertable and removably receivable between the plurality of lighting shelves.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein each lighting shelf includes a plurality of light housings, and each of the plurality of light housings is configured to move along a width of the lighting shelf.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein a vertical distance between the plurality of lighting shelves is the same.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein each lighting shelf corresponds with a respective said cart shelf.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein each lighting shelf is configured to uniformly distribute light onto each respective adjacent said cart shelf.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein the first end of each lighting shelf is configured to be selectively decouplable from the at least one support frame.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein the lighting shelves are cantilevered from the at least one support frame.

### Claim 8 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein the at least one support frame comprises a strut.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein the at least one support frame comprises a channel, each said lighting shelf being coupled at the first end to the channel.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein the plurality of light sources is configured to emit light having a horticultural spectrum suitable for plant cultivation, whereby each adjacent cart shelf is configured to be irradiated therewith.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein a width across the first end is shorter than a length from the first end to the respective second end.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of cart shelf-receiving openings is defined along a lateral edge of each pair of vertically spaced respective said second ends.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of cart shelf-receiving openings is defined along a lateral edge of each pair of vertically spaced respective said second ends and along a longitudinal edge of each pair of vertically spaced lighting shelves between respective pairs of first and second ends,
whereby the cart is insertable toward the at least one support frame from either of said lateral or longitudinal edges.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The lighting system of claim 1, in combination with said cart.

### Claim 15 (depends on 12)

The lighting system of claim 12, wherein the cart comprises wheels.
