Abstract
A table system power module is provided. In some embodiments, an example table system includes a table top and a power module removably mounted to the table top. The power module includes a contact surface made from a relatively softer material.
Claims20
A table assembly, comprising:
- a table top defining an upper surface, a lower surface, and a table peripheral edge between the upper surface and the lower surface, the lower surface including a first material;
- and
- a power module removably mounted to the lower surface of the table top, the power module comprising:
- a housing having a first front electronics connector and a first rear electronics connector, and
- an exposed contact surface including a second material;
- wherein the first material has a first material hardness, the second material has a second material hardness, and the first material hardness is greater than the second material hardness.

A table assembly, comprising:
- a power module including:
- means for absorbing impacts, and
- means for removably mounting with a table top without the use of additional tools.
A method, comprising:
- mounting a power module to a lower surface of a table top, the lower surface comprising a first material, the power module having an exposed contact surface including a second material different from the first material;
- wherein the first material hardness is greater than the second material hardness, the second material configured to absorb impact from a chair.
The method of claim 19, wherein mounting the power module comprises mounting the power module to the lower surface such that the first material is exposed proximate at least three sides of the power module.
