Abstract
Disclosed herein are methods of for treating hyperammonemia in a patient having renal impairment, comprising administering carglumic acid to said patient at a reduced daily dosage.
Claims16
A method for treating hyperammonemia in a patient in need thereof, comprising:
- identifying the patient as having moderate renal impairment;
- and
- administering carglumic acid to the patient at a daily dosage of 5 mg/kg/day to 125 mg/kg/day divided into two to four doses.
A method for treating hyperammonemia in a patient in need thereof, comprising:
- identifying the patient as having severe renal impairment;
- and
- administering carglumic acid to the patient at a daily dosage of 2 mg/kg/day to 60 mg/kg/day divided into two to four doses.
A method for treating hyperammonemia in a patient in need thereof, comprising:
- identifying the patient as having end-stage renal impairment;
- and
- administering carglumic acid to the patient at a daily dosage of 2 mg/kg/day to 60 mg/kg/day divided into two to four doses.
