Abstract
The present disclosure describes a composition for nasal and/or oral administration comprising: magnesium and one or more components derived from a marine or marine-related plant in admixture in a saline base (e.g., including, but not limited to a saline base comprising seawater that is optionally filtered and/or sterilized and that is optionally diluted). Such compositions can, in some embodiments, decrease inflammation by affecting the release of certain pro-inflammatory neuropeptides.

A composition for nasal or oral administration, comprising a saline base, one or more components derived from a marine or marine-related plant in an amount of at least about 0.01% by weight, and magnesium in an amount greater than 1350 mg/L.
